Nine-times champion Martina Navratilova enjoyed a fine start to her first singles campaign at Wimbledon for a decade, winning her opening round match 6-0 6-1 against Catalina Castano.
The 47-year-old was awarded a wild card by the All England Club, giving fans the opportunity to see her in singles action again for one last time at SW19.
Navratilova, who appeared recently at the French Open, raced into a 5-0 lead before rain started to fall. When play resumed she finished off her Colombian opponent with little fuss, wrapping up the straight sets win in a mere 46 minutes.
