Former finalist David Nalbandian was today forced to withdraw from Wimbledon with an abdominal muscle tear. Nalbandian, who lost to Lleyton Hewitt in the 2002 final at the All England Club, was only able to complete five games of an exhibition match yesterday due to the injury.
The Argentinian, who was seeded fourth, was scheduled to face Britain's Tim Henman in the quarter-finals. His place in the draw has been taken Peru's Luis Horna, while a lucky loser from qualifying, Italy's Stefano Pescosolido, moves into the place vacated by Horna.
