French Open champion Juan Carlos Ferrero, hampered by wrist and rib injuries, is still undecided about whether to defend his crown at Roland Garros next week.
The Spaniard, seeded fourth, was unable to train on Tuesday and Wednesday and only practised lightly yesterday, French sports daily l'Equipe reported.
L'Equipe quoted Ferrero's coach Antonio Martinez Cascales as saying he was "optimistic" about his chances to play.
Ferrero has been hit by illness and injury throughout the year and pulled out of the Hamburg Masters earlier this month with the wrist injury.
