There was major disappointment on day two of the Danone Irish Tennis Close Championships in Donnybrook when number one seed Peter Clarke had to pull out with a groin strain just six minutes into his warm-up. Clarke, who is due to compete for Ireland in their crucial Davis Cup match against Slovenia, was replaced by fellow international Stephen Nugent, who was subsequently beaten by 18-year-old Colin O'Brien 3-6 7-6 7-6.
