Tim Henman inspired Britain to victory over hosts Germany in their World Team Cup tie in Dusseldorf on Wednesday night. In the doubles match, the visitors recorded a 2-1 when Lars Burgsmueller was forced out with a back injury with the score at 6-4 2-1 in favour of Martin Lee and Miles Maclagan.
Earlier, British number one Tim Henman had beaten Nicolas Kiefer 7-6 (8-6) 6-3, but Martin Lee lost 6-3 6-3 to Burgsmueller. The Britons are next in action on Friday when they play Russia in their final Blue Group match.
