Agassi wins his 700th career title in Miami

Andre Agassi took the Nasdaq-100 Open title today after beating Roger Federer in four sets in a classic encounter in Miami. Agassi won by 6-3, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 to claim his 700th career title and will now remain in the top ten of the World rankings.

Agassi, who turns 32 next month, started well and took the opening two sets before Federer fought back to take the third. There was to be no comeback however as Agassi clinched the match in the fourth set to claim his fifth Nasdaq-100 Open title.

A delighted Agassi said afterwards, ""I've just always loved coming here and playing here over the years, I've had some disappointing weeks here, but there have been about five special ones I will never forget. I love it here. I definitely look forward to coming back next year."
