Kim Clijsters will face Jelena Dokic in the semi-final of the Toyota Princess Cup after both teenagers strolled to straight sets victories in their quarter-finals. Clijsters defeated seventh seed Tamarine Tanasugarn of Thailand 6-3, 6-1, while Dokic ran out a 6-2, 6-2 winner against American Meilen Tu.
In the other quarter finals, Gala Leon Garcia saw off the challenge of Ai Sugiyama in straight sets, while veteran Spaniard Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario defeated Sandrine Testud 6-3, 1-6, 7-6.
