Top seeds Justine Henin of Belgium and France's Sandrine Testud both secured comfortable straight-sets victories to set up a final showdown in the inaugural Big Island Championships in Hawaii. Henin strolled to a 6-2 6-2 triumph over fourth seed Lisa Raymond to reach her fourth final of a breakthrough season. The 19-year-old has lost only 15 games this week at the Hilton Waikoloa Village.
Testud's victory was even more emphatic, she needed just 54 minutes to overwhelm unseeded American Marissa Irvin 6-0 6-1. Testud has lost to a Williams sister in each of her previous three tournaments but has now reached her second final of the year.
She lost to Henin in the championship match in January in Canberra, Australia, and has not won a title since 1998 at Filderstadt, Germany.
