Ireland retain region zone two status

Ireland have retained their European region zone two status in the Davis Cup after going 3-0 up against Monaco. In the doubles matches today, Scott Barron and Owen Casey triumphed over the home favourites Christof Bosio and Emmanuel Heussner 6-4 6-4 3-6 6-4.

Tomorrow's remaining two singles ties now have no bearing on the outcome of the series. Peter Clarke and John Doran are expected to represent Ireland in these two matches.
