Greg Rusedski took just 45 minutes to breeze past Jerome Golmard in the first round of the Masters Series in Stuttgart today. Britain's number two continued his recent improvement after reaching the quarter-finals in Basle last week, demolishing the desperate Frenchman 6-1 6-2.
It was another boost for Britain's number two, whose year has been ravaged by injury and loss of form. But while Rusedski turned in a typically powerful performance, his opponent lacked heart and made countless unforced errors to give Rusedski the easiest of rides.
Rusedski goes on to face Mariano Puerta of Argentina in round two.
