Andre Agassi staged an incredible fight-back to beat compatriot Todd Martin in a five-set thriller on centre court this afternoon. Agassi, the second seed, came back from 5-2 down in the decider to seal a remarkable triumph 6-4 2-6 7-6 2-6 10-8. He even faced a few match points.
Martin, unseeded this year but a former semi-finalist, wasted two chances to serve out for the match to let Agassi off the hook in a match continued from last night. The world number one, defeated by Pete Sampras in last year's final, remains on course to meet British number one Tim Henman in the quarter-finals.
