Jack Raftery was an individual 400m finalist at last year's European under-23 Championships where he set his 45.89-second personal best in the semi-finals.
The Castleknock native produced a brilliant finish to win his first national senior outdoor title this year, sealing his place on the mixed relay squad. Raftery contributed to the mixed relay squads that made the finals of the 2022 and 2023 World Championships.
The Donore Harriers athlete is currently studying mechanical engineering at DCU and splitting the final year of his studies to accommodate his increased training load. Raftery is in the same training group and fellow mixed relay squad member, Sophie Becker.
