Ciara McGing finished 26th at the World Championships in 2024, improving on her 28th-position finish in 2023. At the European Games in 2023 she backed up her top-10 performance at the European Championships in 2022 with a sixth-place finish and personal best score of 280.10.
The London-born athlete initially thought she wouldn't be selected at the end of June but was announced as part of the team on 4 July.
McGing moved to Dublin to be part of the elite diving squad aged 16 and went to college in the states. She graduated from the University of Ohio in April this year, during her time in the NCAA system McGing won a Big-10 title and reached the prestigious NCAA finals.
