Jeremy Duncan hails from Kilkenny and is currently playing club hockey for Monkstown, where he also works as a physiotherapist. Duncan was among the goal scorers in the 5-1 victory over Ukraine in the opening match of the qualifying tournament in January. He received his 100th cap on the same day, some 10 years after his international debut.
Duncan has played professionally in Belgium where he reached the last four in Europe's EHL in 2018 during two seasons with Herakles HC, and played for Royal Oreé until Covid interrupted his stint on the continent.
The team clinched qualification in Valencia in January this year when they defeated Korea 4-3 in their final match. The hockey squad narrowly missed out on a spot in Tokyo and were last in action at the Games in Rio 2016, where they had one win over Canada and finished 10th overall.
