Peter Brown is a product of Banbridge's hockey powerhouse. The County Down native has 43 caps and won the league this year with his club side.
Ireland clinched qualification in Valencia in January this year when they defeated Korea 4-3 in their final match. The hockey squad narrowly missed out on a spot in Tokyo and were last in action at the Games in Rio 2016, where they had one win over Canada and finished 10th overall.
Brown turned 30 at the start of July and combines playing hockey with working as a project manager.
