Daragh Walsh is currently playing club hockey for Belgian side Braxgata and has 104 international caps for Ireland. Walsh made his debut in 2017, was part of the World Cup squad in 2018 and more recently received player of the match honours during the Olympic qualifier game against Ukraine.

The Three Rock Rovers star, who won three Irish Senior Cups (2014-2019) and three Champions Trophies before pursuing a professional career abroad, has a masters degree in business economics.

Ireland clinched qualification in Valencia in January this year when they defeated Korea 4-3 in their final match. The hockey squad narrowly missed out on a spot in Tokyo and were last in action at the Games in Rio 2016, where they had one win over Canada and finished 10th overall.
