Tim Cross has 61 caps for Ireland. The ex-Australia international has eight caps for his native side but made his debut in 2019 and played in the qualifying event in Valencia at the start of this year.
Cross has had stints at European clubs and Belfast side Annadale, signing for Hampstead and Westminster HC in London in August 2023. Cross was part of the Irish squad that were just pipped for a spot in Tokyo. He currently lives in London where he works as a PE and Nutrition teacher.
Ireland clinched qualification in Valencia in January this year when they defeated Korea 4-3 in their final match. The hockey squad narrowly missed out on a spot in Tokyo and were last in action at the Games in Rio 2016, where they had one win over Canada and finished 10th overall.
