David Harte is one of two squad members remaining from the 2016 Olympic squad, where he was captain of the team for their historic appearance. The Kinsale native made his international debut in 2006 on the same day as his brother Conor and sister Emer.
Harte was FIH's world 'Goalkeeper of the Year’ in 2015 and 2016. He has already signed for a 13th season with SV Kampong with whom he has won two European club titles and was runner-up in Europe this year after Kampong won their first Dutch title in six seasons.
Harte gives back to sport through his membership on the OFI’s Athlete’s Commission and represented Ireland on the European equivalent for six years.
