Jack Marley of Monkstown Boxing Club in Dublin qualified for the Paris Games in June last year. Marley was the silver medallist at last year's European Games which secured him the first Irish heavyweight spot at the Olympics since Cathal O'Grady in 1996.

Marley started boxing aged eight and won his first All-Ireland title at 11. In 2021, aged 18, he became the second youngest national heavyweight champion in Irish amateur history.

The Sallynoggin native won gold at the European Under-22 tournament in 2022 before making his international senior debut. In 2024 Marley was a bronze medallist at Strandja and lost to Belgium's Victor Schelstraete in a split decision at the Europeans in April.
