Jennifer Lehane grew up doing Taekwondo but swapped to boxing at 20 to stay fit while at DCU. The Meath native is a qualified primary school teacher and went to full-time boxing after one-year of teaching post college.
Lehane secured her historic spot in Paris with a unanimous victory over Hungary's Hanna Lakotar in Bangkok in early June after missing out by one win in the European Games last year and on a split decision in the first qualifiers of the year in March this year.
