Parsons was fast tracked into the senior women's XVs squad when she was just 16 and two years later made her debut, becoming the youngest rugby union player to make an appearance for the senior team.
Parsons started on the wing for all of Ireland's Six Nation games and scored two tries against Wales, she has since scored 16 tries in the competition and has 23 caps for the XVs side.
The team qualified in May 2023 with a 10-5 win over Fiji in the fifth-place semi-final of the World Rugby Sevens Series. Qualifying for an Olympics has been a long fought battle for the women's side, narrowly missing out on qualification in the last two Olympic cycles.
