Ross Corrigan hails from Enniskillen and began his rowing career at Portora Boat club before it became Enniskillen Boat Club. His boat-mate Nathan Timoney also hails from the club making it a Fermanagh boat.
A former pupil of St Michael's College, he took up rowing after doing a taster session at the Portora club, prior to that he played football with Kinawley.
Despite knowing each other since they were teenagers Corrigan and Timoney were only paired in 2022, they finished sixth in World Cup III in 2023 but made the podium and secured qualification for Paris at the World Championships in 2023.
Corrigan is the first cousin of Rio Olympian Leona Maguire.
