Dublin native Kellie Harrington won her first major medal for Ireland in 2016, taking silver at the World Championships in Astana.

Harrington followed that up with silver at the 2017 EU Championships and bronze at the 2018 European Championships before being crowned world champion at the 2018 event in New Delhi.

The 31-year-old will be the top seed at the Games and has overcome injury issues ahead of the Olympics, but proved she was back to her best at the recent qualifiers where she defeated the highly-rated Caroline Dubois in the final.

Chosen, along with Brendan Irvine, to be Ireland's flag-bearer at the opening ceremony.
