Tokyo bronze medallist Aifric Keogh is a food microbiology graduate of UCC and a member of the Cork college's rowing club.
Keogh makes a return to the pair event but has been an international finalist before, with Tokyo team-mate Emily Hegarty in the 2018 World Championships, where they finished sixth. This time teamed with fellow women's four bronze medallist Fiona Murtagh. The duo have been rowing in the pair event since September 2023, where they finished fourth in the World Championships and secured the boat for Paris.
Since then Keogh and Murtagh have consistently been making World Cup finals, making the podium on all three occasions.
