Following a spell in the Leinster academy Kennedy decided to focus full-time on sevens with his debut coming in 2015 in Zagreb.
The centre won a Division 1B AIL title with St Mary's in 2017 and has represented Ireland at Under-20 level.
Kennedy is the top try-scorer this season, claiming 32 to his name in what has been a consistent run of form for the national sevens side. He was awarded top try scorer in the SVNS Series in 2024 and was named World Rugby's sevens player of the year in 2022.
His father, Terry Sr., won 13 caps for Ireland in the 1970s, and his great grandfather, Bernard Joseph Doyle, represented Britain in the 1912 Olympics as a cyclist.
