Darragh Greene competed in the 100m and 200m breaststroke in Tokyo where he finished 29th and 23rd respectively. In the European Championships in Serbia earlier this year Greene finished seventh in the 100m breaststroke final with a time of 1:00.28, his fastest in 2024.
The Longford native will this time represent Team Ireland in the 400m medley relay, which is the first time the nation have sent a team to the Olympics.
Greene is based in the national aquatic centre in Dublin and holds Irish records in three individual breaststroke events.
