Based out of Pennsylvania State University, Ryan was the ‘swimmer of the meet’ in the Big Ten Championships in 2013-14 and has since broken two Irish records - the 50m breaststroke and the 100m backstroke. He qualified for Rio at the Dave McCullagh Meet in March and has deferred his studies in Sports Management for a year to prepare for the Games.
