The 22-year-old Moate fighter had offers to go professional after missing out on qualifying for London but wanted to keep alive his Olympic dream, a desire rewarded by qualification for Rio with a stunning 2015 season. He won gold at the European Elite Championships in Samokov and silver at the World Elite Championships in Doha.
