A bronze medal winner in the Commonwealth Games of 2014, he almost quit the sport in 2010 but persevered to keep his Olympic dream alive and secured a place in Rio with a fourth place ranking in the World Series of Boxing in 2015. The 27-year-old Ballymena man also landed a bronze at the Chemistry Cup in 2014.
