Wheelchair Marathon competitor Patrick Monahan is back for his second Paralympic Games, having taken part at Rio 2016 and finished 16th.
Inspired to take up Para-Athletics while watching London 2012, Monahan is a now a multiple Dublin City marathon champion, with four consecutive wins between 2014 and 2018.
Monahan has also won the Ohio and Lanzarote marathons and finished second in the Duluth marathon in Minnesota, USA to smash his own Irish record by more than six minutes and effectively secure his place at the Tokyo games.
