Ronan Grimes may be a latecomer to the sport, but the Galway native has made up for lost time since finishing eighth in his very first World Cup race in 2017.
Grimes won medals at both the World Road and Track Championships in 2019.
A leading medal hope, he signalled his rude health by bagging bronze at this year's Road World Championships, despite suffering a crash earlier in the event.
