Irish Olympians Mona McSharry and Ellen Walshe are through to their respective finals on day three of the Irish Open Swimming Championships at the Aurora Centre in Bangor.
McSharry, who already took gold in the 50m breaststroke, is the fastest qualifier into tonight's 200m breaststroke final in a new championship record time of two minutes 23.03 seconds.
Walshe, seeking her third medal of the meet, set a new Irish record in the heats of the 200m freestyle, recording a heat time of 1:58.72, which broke her own Irish best time by .16 of a second.
The Templeogue swimmer will also contest the final of the 100m butterfly this evening.
Paris 2024 gold medallist Daniel Wiffen is through to the final of the 200m in second place overall, behind Cormac Rynn of the National Centre in Limerick.
John Shortt, who won the 100m backstroke on Thursday in a new Irish record time, is the fastest qualifier through to the 50m backstroke medal race, while Olympian Danielle Hill leads the qualifiers in the women's race.
The finals get under way at 5.30pm
