Mona McSharry has qualified for the final of the 100m breaststroke at the LEN European Aquatics Championships in Budapest.
The Sligo competitor swam a time of 1:06.42 to finish third in her semi-final.
Earlier McSharry cruised into the semis when finishing second in her heat in a time of 1:06.97, which is the third time she's gone under the FINA 'A' time for Tokyo 2020.
The 20-year-old first achieved the Olympic consideration time in this event at Irish National Team Trials in April, swimming 1:06.97 in heats and her present Irish senior record of 1:06.29 in round two.
Speaking after her semi-final, McSharry said: "I feel great. If you had told me I would swim 1:06 this year, I'd have been over the moon, and now I’ve just done two 1:06 swims in a few hours and, I don’t want to say easily, but comfortable enough that I know I could do it again.
"It just gives me so much confidence in the build-up to the Olympics."
Also on the hunt for an Irish medal at these championships is Conor Ferguson after he made it through to the 50m backstroke final.
The Larne Swimming Club swimmer’s first appearance in a European final for an individual event saw him come home in seventh place in a time of 24.92.
Ireland's first ever mixed 4x200m freestyle relay team of Max McCusker, Brendan Hyland, Naomi Trait and Victoria Catterson clocked a time of 7:50.41 to finish eight in their final.
In doing so they broke the Irish record of 7:51.24, which they set in Tuesday's heats.
