Irish diver Clare Cryan placed ninth in the final of the 3m Springboard at the LEN European Aquatics Championships in Budapest this evening, concluding an impressive week for the Dubliner.

It was the second final appearance of the meet for Cryan who registered an eighth placed finish in the 1m Springboard last Wednesday.

The 27-year-old progressed to this evening's final after posting a score of 270.85 to finish 11th best of the 28 entrants in the preliminaries early in the Saturday.

In the final itself, Cryan managed a score of 277.85 to finish ninth overall. The event was won by Germany's Tina Punzel on a score of 330.85.
