Nicole Turner, the Laois starlet who has already picked up two silver medals at the IPC European Open Swim Championships, will have the chance to add to her haul in the final of the women's 50m butterfly S6.

The 13-year-old qualified for tonight's final in a new personal best of 38.94.

There was also a new PB for Barry McClements in the men's 400m freestyle S9 heats, with the 14-year-old clocking a 4.43.30.

Unfortunately, McClements narrowly misses out on a place in tonight's final, but he is first reserve.

Other Irish in action this morning included Jonathan McGrath, who recorded a 32.32 in the men's 50m freestyle S8 heats, and Ailbhe Kelly who swam 37.94 in the women's 50m freestyle S8 heats.
