All three of Ireland’s Olympic swimming hopefuls have reached the finals of the Dutch championships in Eindhoven.
Aishling Cooney and Melanie Nocher are through to the final of the women’s 200m backstroke, with Cooney recording a time of 2 minutes 14.3 seconds and Nocher making the top eight in 2 mins 14.52 secs.
Barry Murphy clocked 22.79 seconds in the men’s 50m freestyle and is the second fastest qualifier behind former Olympic champion Pieter Van De Hooganband.
Andrew Bree is the only Irish swimmer to have qualified for Beijing thus far.
