Bree breaks record again

Andrew Bree, swiming for Northern Ireland, has broken the Irish record in the 200 metres breaststroke that he set earlier today. He broke his record by almost 0.8 of a second at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester. Bree swam a time of 2 minutes 14.48 seconds, 0.77 of a second off his earlier record.

Earlier today he broke Gary O'Toole's long-standing Irish 200 metres breaststoke record with a time of 2 minutes 15.25 seconds, cutting .52 of a second of O'Toole's time, set when he won the silver medal at the European Championships in Bonn in 1989.
