Republic of Ireland international Nathan Collins insists Brentford will give their all at Liverpool next week as they bid to secure a place in Europe.
The 25-year-old, who has been named in Heimir Hallgrimsson's 24-man squad for the upcoming international friendly double-header against Qatar and Canada after sitting out the recent training camp in Murcia, played the full 90 minutes in Sunday’s 2-2 Premier League draw with Crystal Palace.
That results sees the Bees occupy eighth place in the table and in with a chance of qualifying for European football for the first time in their history.
Dango Ouattara scored twice, including a late equaliser, after Palace twice took the lead through Ismaila Sarr’s early penalty and Adam Wharton’s goal.
"It’s a frustrating one," said club captain Collins. "I don’t think we started great and it took us a while to get in the game.
"In the second half, we improved a lot, controlled the game more and had the better chances.
"We threw the kitchen sink at it. We had a good few chances and on another day one of them goes in. unfortunately, it didn’t.
"We’ll take the point and go to Liverpool. We’re optimistic, we’ll give it our all and we’ll have a right good go at them."
Manager Keith Andrews vowed his team will keep fighting until the last kick to qualify for Europe.
"The one thing you can guarantee from our team is they give everything," he said. "We've had a very special season which could become even more special next weekend."
