Republic of Ireland assistant coach Gary Cronin eased any concerns about the fitness of Katie McCabe after the captain sported heavy bandaging around her left hand in training this week.
The Girls in Green are preparing to fly to Gdansk for the first of two World Cup qualifiers against Poland on Tuesday. The countries collide again the following Saturday at Aviva Stadium.
McCabe has been training with strapping on her hand, but there's no danger the Arsenal star will miss the looming showdowns.
"It's not affecting her preparations," stressed Cronin, fulfilling media duties via Zoom as the ongoing fuel protests complicated making the journey to the FAI's HQ in Abbotstown.
"She has it well bandaged up. It's as simple as that. It was (sustained) in our last camp (in March). I haven't put much thought into it because I spoke to her once about it. She's really brushed it off as, 'this is nothing, I know it looks worse because of something on my hand'.
"I really have put very little thought into her injury because she's raised no concerns about her ability to play."
Ireland are braced for a serious test against the Poles, a side on the up after they qualified for last year's Euros. That was their first appearance at a major tournament and they've kicked on since.
Nina Patalon's high-energy outfit held the Netherlands to a 2-2 draw in their opening League A Group A2 fixture, then lost 4-1 in France, a result distorted by Nadia Krezyman's red card on the stroke of half-time.
Realistically, this double-header is a shootout for third place in the group, which would earn - on paper at least - a kinder draw in the play-offs.
"One of the key messages from Carla (Ward) to the group is in and around making sure that we're not complacent," said Cronin.
"Complacency is the key. We're playing a very, very good side in Poland. From our point of view, we just want to make sure that we continue doing what we're really good at. Ultimately, the preparation, what we did for France and the Dutch, a lot of that will be quite similar. We have to be who we are.
"We don't want a change of who we are when we go into these games against Poland and other similar nations. I have to keep saying that we're playing a top side. Poland have really, really top-quality players, particularly in attacking areas. So yeah, we'll be fully focused. The girls know exactly what they need to do in respect to that."
It's Cronin's second window with the squad after he succeeded Alan Mahon as Ward's No 2. The former Longford Town and Bray Wanderers manager says he's bedded in nicely as the stakes build on the road to Brazil.
"It's been excellent really," he added. "It's a real privilege actually working with the girls. This level has been fantastic. I'm building a really good strong relationship with the staff and the group. It's going to come on camp by camp. It always takes time stuff like that, but all good.
"We had a plan to try and win against France, a plan to win against Holland, and this is the same, we'll have a plan to try and win in Poland and when they come to the Aviva. That’s football, we’ll try and win.
"But I’m not going to sit here and say we need maximum points. No, no. They’re going to be tough games and we’ll do all we can to try and get the results. "
