Drogheda United midfielder Shane Farrell has been released from hospital after collapsing during his side's goalless draw against Bohemians on Friday night.
Farrell had a nasty clash of heads with Senan Mullen with just over 15 minutes to go at Sullivan and Lambe Park. Mullen was bandaged up, and then replaced by Sadou Diallo. Farrell played on, but he fell to the ground a few minutes later with no one around him.
After a very lengthy period of treatment, Farrell was stretchered off wearing an oxygen mask.
Immediately after the game, Drogs manager Kevin Doherty was cautiously optimistic, telling reporters: "He seems to be okay. I don't know exactly what happened, but he seems to be okay. That's absolutely the most important thing.
"It was a scary few minutes I'm sure for everyone. We're lucky in one sense, the hospital (Our Lady of Lourdes) is literally 30 seconds away."
On Saturday, Drogheda United shared an update on Farrell's condition, posting on social media: "Drogheda United can confirm that Shane Farrell has been released from hospital, and will continue to be monitored by our medical staff. Our thanks to our medical team, (Bohemians) medical team and St John's Ambulance for their response and care last night."
