Republic of Ireland supporters have been warned not to buy unauthorised tickets ahead of the World Cup play-off with Czechia in the Fortuna Arena on Thursday night.
An estimated 6,000 fans are travelling to the game from Ireland, despite the away allocation being limited to 1,024. Capacity for the stadium is 20,000.
Around 200 friends and family of the Republic of Ireland team do have tickets through their allocation, but many Irish supporters are also believed to have purchased tickets in the home end for the now sold-out fixture.
However, with thousands of others still hoping to be in the stadium, the Republic of Ireland supporter liasion officer Gary Spain has issued an update from the Czechia FA.
It read: "The Czech Federation have warned us over cancelled and fake tickets.
"Please do not buy from any unauthorised sources.
"The game is totally sold out.
"People are reselling the same PDF multiple times. Please be careful."
Tickets claiming to be for the away end have been advertised on resale website for five and even six-figure sums in the run-up to the fixture.
Yesterday ticketless Irish supporters told RTÉ that regardless of whether they can be in the stadium, they wanted to sample the atmosphere on a big occasion or Irish football.
There is no formal fan zone for the travelling supporters and it's likely there may not even be enough room in bars to watch the game for every Irish supporter in Prague.
