Heimir Hallgrimsson has called Harvey Vale into the Republic of Ireland squad for next Thursday's FIFA World Cup play-off semi-final against Czechia, while Alan Browne and Sammie Szmodics have been recalled.
Hallgrimsson also revealed he had signed a new contract to remain as Republic of Ireland boss until Euro 2028.
A 25-man squad has been chosen for the all-important clash in Prague.
Vale, a former England Under-19 captain, had his switch of allegiance to Ireland approved by FIFA last week.
The 22-year-old has scored three goals in 23 games for QPR in the Championship this season, including the opener in Saturday's victory over Leicester City.
Vale, who came on as a sub for Chelsea in their Conference League fixture against Shamrock Rovers last season, joined QPR permanently last February.
Luton Town's Josh Keeley has also been included among the trio of goalkeepers.
The uncapped Meathman was previously called up for last June's friendlies against Senegal and Luxembourg.
Stoke City's Bosun Lawal has also been called up, along with Watford's James Abankwah.
Gavin Bazunu, Will Smallbone and Festy Ebosole have missed out.
Evan Ferguson, Josh Cullen and Mikey Johnston had all been definitively ruled out in recent weeks.
