RTÉ Soccer Podcast: Parrott flying solo as Ireland injuries mount, LOI focus and COYGIG's small margins

Soccer Podcast thumbnail with presenter Raf Diallo

Just like last week, we're coming off a packed few days in Irish football so today's episode of the RTÉ Soccer Podcast is split into two standalone ones.

Richie Towell and former Republic of Ireland winger Keith Treacy join Raf Diallo to review the weekend's SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division action, the depleted Boys in Green's forward line for Prague in the wake of Evan Ferguson being ruled out, and look ahead to the Champions League last 16 first leg between Real Madrid and Manchester City that will be live on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player on Wednesdsay.

And our apologies, due to technical difficulties, most of the YouTube version is audio-only.

TIMESTAMPS

00:50 Arsenal fan Keith discusses the wider criticisms about the Gunners' approach and the impact it has on the wider game, while Richie reminisces about playing with a young Viktor Gyokeres at Brighton before looking ahead to the Real Madrid v Man City first leg.

38:20 Keith and Richie discuss the depleted Ireland forward line and the options to cover for the main man Troy Parrott - including why they are not keen on a recall for Sammie Szmodics.

Shelbourne's Rachel Graham and her former Ireland team-mate Méabh De Búrca look back on the Girls in Green's narrow World Cup qualifying defeats to France and the Netherlands, before previewing the new SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division season which will kick off on Saturday.
