Valencia gave themselves some breathing space at the bottom of La Liga after a 1-0 win over Osasuna.

In Ligue 1 Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored two late goals as Marseille earned a first win under Habib Beye, beating Lyon 3-2.

OM lost 2-0 at Brest in Beye’s first game in charge last week and it was not looking good as Corentin Tolisso’s third-minute goal and Remi Himbert’s strike in the 76th minute put Lyon 2-1 up at the Stade Velodrome.

Igor Paixao had earlier levelled for the hosts but it was the former Arsenal striker who stepped up, equalising in the 81st minute and then winning it in the first minute of injury time.

There were also wins for Paris FC, Lille and Brest while Lorient and Auxerre drew.
