After failing a pitch inspection, tonight's SSE Airtricity Premier Division match between Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk at Tallaght Stadium has been postponed.

The game was in doubt following close to 24 hours of persistent rain in County Dublin, with officials making the call well in advance of the clash which was due to kick-off at 8pm.

This fixture has been rescheduled for Monday, 23 February at 8pm.

As things stand, tonight's three other games featuring Derry City v Sligo (8pm), Galway United v Drogheda United and Waterford FC v Shelbourne, both kicking off at 7.45pm, are set to go ahead.

The remaining fixture on the opening weekend of the Premier Division sees Bohemians take on St Pat's Athletic at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday, kick-off 2pm.
