Fulham have completed the signing of winger Oscar Bobb from Manchester City on a five-year deal.

Norway international Bobb, 22, has moved to Craven Cottage in what is understood to be a £27million deal, which includes a 20 per cent sell-on clause.

"It feels great to be here. I had a great day meeting everyone and I am very excited," Bobb told FFCtv. "I have always known Fulham to be a good club, with good players and a great stadium.

"I spoke to Sander (Berge), my good friend, and I spoke to the manager and he explained what the system's like and how the lads are and how the club is. He (Marco Silva) seemed lovely, so it was an easy decision basically."

Fulham vice-chairman and director of football operations Tony Khan has no doubts Bobb will bring something different to Silva's squad as they push for a top-six finish.

"He is an exciting young player who is eager to come and play for the club, as we aim to continue the team's positive momentum through the second half of the season and plan for a promising future," Khan added on the club's website.

Assistant manager Shaun Maloney is hoping Celtic can bring in up to three more players before the transfer window closes on Monday.

Czech Republic striker Tomas Cvancara has been recruited on loan from Borussia Monchengladbach while Mexico right-back Julian Araujo has arrived from Bournemouth, also temporarily.

Many Hoops fans remain critical of the Parkhead board for a relative lack of new faces in the squad as the William Hill Premiership title race turns towards the home straight.

Martin O'Neill returned for a second spell as interim boss this season on 5 January following the departure of French boss Wilfried Nancy.

And the reigning champions, who qualified for the Europa League knockout play-offs - where they will face Stuttgart - with a 4-2 win over Utrecht at Parkhead on Thursday night, are in third place in the league, two points behind Rangers and six behind leaders Hearts.

Celtic have been linked with Frosinone's French winger Fares Ghedjemis and Dunajska Streda's Hungarian forward Damir Redzic, among others.

Ahead of the visit of Falkirk on Sunday, former Celtic striker Maloney (above, l) revealed the current state of play in terms of potential new signings.

"I think the difficulty for the club is that we've obviously changed manager," said Maloney.

"Completely changed structure to the previous guy so I understand then that there is a period where the targets completely change, so really happy with the two that we brought in.

"I think if we bring in another two or three, it would be a massive, massive help, but they have to be the right ones.

"There is no need to bring in numbers. It has to be the right type of player for what we need and what probably the team's lacking.

"The two that we brought in, I really like, but hopefully we can do two or three more.

"The work's been done. In fairness to the board, they're there and ready to try and get the deals done and hopefully that happens. It won't be through a lack of effort.

"We've had to do a lot of work in a quick period of time because of the management change but I've been really happy with the list of players that we've been given and the types of players.

"So, yeah, really hopeful that we can all get that done because it's not always on the board.

"There's things that we have to do. We have to speak to players, we have to get the players to sort of have a desire to come to work with us. So it's a collective really to get this done and we hope it turns out positive."

Elsewhere, Hibernian have signed Tottenham forward Dane Scarlett (above) on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 21-year-old moves to Easter Road just days after coming off the bench in Spurs' Champions League victory away to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Scarlett became the Premier League club’s youngest-ever player in 2020 and has since accumulated 27 first-team appearances for the Lilywhites while also spending time on loan at Portsmouth, Ipswich and Oxford.

The arrival of the forward at Hibs goes some way to softening the blow of losing top scorer Kieron Bowie, who is in the process of finalising a transfer to Verona.
