Everton 0-1 Brighton

Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan was part of the Everton side that fell to a 1-0 defeat to Brighton in the Women's Super League to continue their dreadful record at Goodison Park.

The Toffees sit 10th in the 12-team league but have the worst home record in the league, without a single point from half a dozen outings at home.

On the road they have fared much better, collecting eight points from seven games, but it was another night to forget for the hosts.

The only goal came in the 41st minute after a bad mistake from Martina Fernandez, whose attempt to play out from the back gifted the ball to Kiko Seike.

The Japan forward skipped past Fernandez and cut the ball back for Cankovic to slot home her first WSL goal of the season.
