Aston Villa have recalled winger Leon Bailey from Serie A club Roma.
The Jamaica international made just 11 appearances for the Giallorossi in the first half of the season, but has been called back to Villa Park to help ease his club's injury crisis.
Amadou Onana, Boubacar Kamara, Ross Barkley and John McGinn are all injured, while Villa let Donyell Malen join Roma earlier in the transfer window.
A Roma statement read: "AS Roma confirms the termination of Leon Bailey’s loan deal.
"The Jamaican player, who joined the Giallorossi in the summer of 2025, will return to Aston Villa by mutual agreement with the English club."
Malen scored on his Roma debut against Torino on Sunday. His signing has increased the competition for places for Republic of Ireland striker Evan Ferguson, who is also on loan in the Italian capital.
Ferguson missed both Sunday's league win over Torino and the Coppa Italia defeat to the Turin club earlier in the week due after suffering a painful knock to his lower back earlier this month.
Roma are due to return to action in the Europa League at home to Stuttgart on Thursday.
France forward Jean-Philippe Mateta has told Crystal Palace he wants to leave the club, according to reports.
The 28-year-old still has 18 months left on his current deal at Selhurst Park.
Juventus and Aston Villa are reported to be among the teams interested in Mateta, who has scored eight Premier League goals this season and is said to be valued by the Eagles in the region of £35 million.
Crystal Palace declined to comment on the reports when contacted by the Press Association.
Liverpool left-back Luke Chambers will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Charlton.
The 21-year-old has recently returned to fitness after a back injury and becomes the Championship side's third signing of the January window following the arrivals of Harry Clarke and Lyndon Dykes.
Liverpool academy graduate Chambers has previously spent spells with Kilmarnock and Wigan,
