The Republic of Ireland will begin their World Cup qualification campaign at Tallaght Stadium against world number seven-ranked France on Tuesday, 3 March.
Carla Ward's Girls in Green were drawn in League A, Group A2 alongside the French, the Netherlands and Poland having come through their Nations League promotion/relegation play-off against Belgium in October.
It's a stern test for Ireland, but life among the big hitters also comes with important benefits. They could qualify directly for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil if they win the group, with a second- or third-placed finish potentially helping their seeding in the play-offs, which they are guaranteed to enter no matter what.
The FAI has yet to confirm all of the home venues for the qualifiers, but UEFA has listed Tallaght as the venue for the French showdown, with Ireland travelling to Stadion Galgenwaard in Utrecht to face the Dutch four days later.
On Tuesday, 14 April, it's a trip to Gdansk to face the Poles at the Polsat Plus Arena, where Giovanni Trapattoni's men's team were beaten 4-0 by Spain at Euro 2012. Poland then come to Ireland for the reverse tie on Saturday, 18 April.
On Friday, 5 June the Netherlands come here for the penultimate qualifier of the campaign, which ends with a journey to Stade des Alpes in Grenoble, southeast France the following Tuesday.
Kick-off times are still be confirmed, with the FAI expected to confirm all of Ireland's home games soon.
