Jovon Makama scored a second-half brace as Norwich boosted their bid to pull out of the Championship relegation zone with a battling 2-1 victory over Southampton at Carrow Road.
Leading the line in the absence of Josh Sargent, who was missing due to concussion protocols, Makama struck in the 48th minute and, contentiously, just past the hour to sink a Saints side who had won five out of six going into the lunchtime kick-off.
Ireland's Ryan Manning had swiftly equalised for the visitors with a fine long-range effort but summer signing Makama had the final say with his sixth goal of an impressive campaign.

Championship leaders Coventry got back to winning ways as a 1-0 victory against Bristol City kept them five points clear at the top.
Ephron Mason-Clark (above) scored the winner in the second half as the Sky Blues maintained their advantage over second-placed Middlesbrough.
It was Coventry's seventh successive home victory – they last had a longer home winning run between May and October 2021.

Abdul Fatawu scored a spectacular goal from inside his own half as Leicester cruised to a 3-1 home win against in-form Ipswich at the King Power Stadium to close the gap to the play-off places.
Fatawu's remarkable lob from around 65-yards out doubled Leicester’s lead two minutes before half-time, after Bobby De Cordova-Reid lashed a powerful effort into the net from distance on eight minutes.
The Foxes sealed the points on 52 minutes when Jordan Ayew converted Ricardo Pereira’s cut-back before substitute Jens Cajuste scored for the visitors on 71 minutes following an error from Leicester goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk.
Victory for Leicester moves the Foxes to within three points of the play-off places while Ipswich remain in the top-six with a one-point cushion over the chasing pack.
Charlton ended a run of five straight Championship defeats as Tyreece Campbell's second-half equaliser earned them a point from a 1-1 draw against home specialists Birmingham.
The substitute struck midway through the half to peg back Chris Davies’ side, who had found the net 14 times during their previous four matches at St Andrew’s.
Ben Pearson and Sorba Thomas got the goals as Stoke ended their three-game winless run with a 2-1 victory at home to Swansea.
Defender Pearson hit a sweetly-struck opener late in the first half and Thomas got the second after an hour as the Potters collected only their second win in seven.
The visitors, who got one back in the 78th minute through Zan Vipotnik, had stopped the rot after their six-game winless run, clocking up back-to-back victories ahead of their trip to the Potteries.
Jordan Storey and Daniel Jebbison struck a goal in each half to give high-flying Preston a 2-1 victory at Oxford and a fourth win in their last eight away Championship games.
Storey headed in Thierry Small's cross from four yards out at the far post in the 26th minute following a corner. The ball appeared to deflect in off Ciaron Brown’s back but Storey was claiming it.
Canada international Jebbison then notched his fifth goal of the season as he converted Alfie Devine’s cutback four minutes into the second half.
Oxford halved the deficit four minutes later when Brian De Keersmaecker beat a defender from Nic Prelec’s pass and hammered home a left-footed drive, but Preston held on to their lead.
Kim Hellberg's perfect start to life as Middlesbrough head coach continued as his high-flying side earned a 3-1 Championship victory over QPR at the Riverside.
Hellberg has now won his first four matches since replacing Rob Edwards on Teesside, following in the footsteps of Bryan Robson to become only the second Boro boss to achieve the feat.
His side’s latest success was thoroughly deserved and came courtesy of first-half goals from David Strelec and Morgan Whittaker and a second-half penalty from Tommy Conway.
Nicolas Madsen also scored from the spot as he pulled a goal back for QPR, but Julien Stephan’s side were well beaten as they suffered only a second defeat in their last six games.
Kyle Joseph scored twice in the early stages as Hull kept themselves sixth with a 3-1 victory over 10-man Millwall at the Den.
This was the Tigers' second straight win and this was an encounter they largely controlled as they went back above Stoke after their victory earlier on Saturday.
Portsmouth fought back from a goal down to record a much-needed 2-1 victory over fellow strugglers Blackburn to climb out of the relegation zone.
Rovers led nine minutes before half-time though a fine goal from Yuki Ohashi but Callum Lang levelled matters in the 62nd minute before Ibane Bowat headed home Conor Chaplin's corner to claim maximum points, 11 minutes from time.

Wrexham rescued a 2-2 draw at home to Watford as Oliver Rathbone struck a stoppage-time equaliser in front of owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds (above).
Watford brushed aside Josh Windass' opener as first-half goals from Mamadou Doumbia and Othmane Maamma put the visitors on course for all three points.
But Rathbone’s late intervention meant Wrexham avoided a second successive defeat.
